About
After undergraduate studies in philosophy and psychology at the University of Bristol I went on to do a PhD in visual neuroscience at Cambridge, graduating in 2004. Concern with philosophical issues around vision, mind-brain and consciousness led me back to philosophical studies with post-docs at Monash and then Washington University, St Louis.
I have collaborated with Ian Gold (McGill) in work on the conceptual underpinnings of neurophysiology. A major research interest has been the philosophy of colour perception, exploring ideas from vision science that can bring fresh light on the realism vs. anti-realism debate.
I'm also doing some new work on neuroplasticity...
